Activity Overview


Researching real people helps students to get a more concrete and compassionate understanding of the culture, lives, and perspectives of people from around the world and throughout history! In this activity, students will research a person and then fill in their biography graphic organizer worksheet to highlight their important life events and accomplishments.

Due Date:

Objective: Research a person and fill in the graphic organizer with important details about their life and add engaging imagery.

Student Instructions:

  1. Choose a famous or notable person to research.
  2. Using school resources, conduct research about the person's life.
  3. On the graphic organizer, include your person’s name and dates of birth, death and major accomplishments in sequence.
  4. Add appropriate characters and items to decorate your graphic organizer and represent your person.
  5. Click save and exit when you're finished.

The art chosen to depict the scenes, characters and items that are appropriate to the famous or historic figure. They enhance the poster by symbolizing or illustrating important facts about the figure. Time and care is taken to ensure that the scenes are neat, eye-catching, and creative.
