Where is Canada?Canada is located in the northern hemisphere on the continent of North America. It borders 3 oceans: The Atlantic, the Arctic, and the Pacific. Canada also borders the United States of America.

The Canadian Shield is located in Northern Canada. It is a vast hilly region of swamps and lakes, and has some of the oldest rocks on Earth!
Canada is known for its many blue lakes and rivers. Four out of the five Great Lakes are shared between Canada and the United States. Canada's longest river system is the McKenzie River. Canada has 60% of the world's lakes!
The far northern region of Canada lies in the Arctic, and it consists mainly of glaciers. The land is not suitable for farming.
There are many mountain ranges in Canada, most of which lie in the western part of the country. These ranges include the Canadian Rockies, the Appalachian, the St. Elias, and the Laurentian Mountains.
