  • Country music superstar Kenny Chesney was born in Luttrell, TN in 1968, and moved to nearby Knoxville when he was young. Chesney has had 32 #1 hits, and is one of the most popular performers of his time.
  • The capital of Tennessee is Nashville. Some of the other major cities include Knoxville, Memphis, Chattanooga, and Clarksville.
  • Tennessee's state nickname is the Volunteer State. Its state motto is "Agriculture and Commerce" due to its agricultural diversity.

  • Once owned by singer and actor Elvis Presley, Graceland is a 13.8 acre estate located in Memphis. There are 23 rooms in the mansion, and is said to be worth over 50 million dollars! Over 500,000 tourists visit the estate each year. It is one of the most famous homes in the country, second only to the White House.
