  • Before the protest against the beating of Rashad Butler by Officer Galluzzo, Quinn Collins notices this sign. It spurs Quinn to join the protest even though he is scared of the heavily armored police and tanks. He is afraid of his basketball coach because he has ordered the team not to participate. However, Quinn realizes that it is his duty to protest this violent act for all those who have suffered racism and police brutality. He recognizes that he must be brave like his father and oppose injustice, because if he doesn’t, he has inadvertently chosen a side: the side of the oppressor.
