Mokiniai gali per daug galvoti apie tai, ką jie turėtų tobulinti, kaip turėtų atrodyti ar apsirengti. Paaugliai yra pažeidžiami žiniasklaidos įtakos ir, deja, žiniasklaida yra pripildyta būdų, kaip griauti kūno įvaizdį. Studentai, kurie jau patiria iškreiptus kūno vaizdus, yra lengvai ir stipriai paveikiami. Jei paaugliai gali sutelkti dėmesį į tai, kas jie yra ir kas jiems patinka savyje, jie gali būti ne tokie linkę į kraštutinumus, kad tai pakeistų. Šiose SEL veiklose mokiniai sutelks dėmesį į savo sugebėjimus, o ne į išvaizdą.
Kai mokiniai baigia savo darbus, galite juos pakabinti ant lentos arba klasės sienos. Turėdami nepaprastai daug teigiamų vaizdų, galėsite sukurti palankesnę kūnui aplinką. Kai kurie mokiniai retai mato pozityvumo sieną. Be to, pavyzdžiai, gauti iš bendraamžių, taip pat gali reikšti daugiau, o ne ką nors, ką sukūrė mokytojas.
